2. Twenty-nine of the thirty known graves in the cemetery are inside a fence. The fenced area is divided by another fence. The grave of Clara C. Neal is just to the south of the fence. The eastern half of the fenced area contains the Pinchbacks, Howlands, and James Clifton Chapman. The western half contains the Obenchains, Walls, and other graves.

The ladies of the Skull Creek neighborhood, this county, met last Sunday at the residence of Mr. N. R. Williams and organized a cemetery association by electing the following officers: Mrs. N. R. Williams, president; Mrs. Belle Clapp, vice-president; Miss Susie Bridge, secretary; Miss Nola Thomas, assistant secretary; Mrs. Nannie Clapp, treasurer; Miss Annie Ijams, corresponding secretary. The association has employed J. C. Slayton to attend to their cemetery, which is situated seven miles west of Columbus, and known to many as the old Skull Creek graveyard. We wish for the association much success in its noble work.
