Anton Buxkemper Interred At Frelsburg Thursday
Funeral services were held Thursday for Anton Buxkemper who died at Bell hospital on Christmas Day. He had been an invalid for several years and was taken to the hospital following a fall at his home where he sustained a fractured hip.
Rev. Edward G_____ of the Catholic church officiated at the burial in the Frelsburg [Sts. Peter and Paul] cemetery and Untermeyer Bros. were in charge of arrangements.
"Grandpa" Buxkemper, as he was affectionately called by his friends and relatives would have been 93 on December 31, having been born at Frelsburg in 1851. He was a son of Theo and Elizabeth Hoelscher Buxkemper who came to this country from Germany. He spent his entire life in the Frelsburg community where he operated a farm and did carpentry work.
Mrs. Buxkemper, the former Frances Dungen, only daughter of Joseph and Mary Dungen, to whom he was married in 1874, died 22 years ago. Of fifteen children born to the couple, four sons and one daughter are dead.
Surviving are four daughters, Miss Elizabeth Buxkemper, Frelsburg; Mrs. Charles Ocker and Mrs. Ben Moeller, Runnels county, and Mrs. Fred Richter, San Angelo; six sons, Ed, Charles and Anton of Slayton; Herman of Karnes City; Theodore of Victoria and Ben of Frelsburg. Two surviving daughters-in-law are Mrs. Theresa Buxkemper of Lott and Mrs. Catherine Buxkemper of Sealy. Forty-nine grandchildren and 74 great grandchildren also survive. Six grandchildren are in the armed forces and one is a nun. Mrs. Joe Untermeyer of Hobson is Mr. Buxkemper's only living sister.
Pallbearers were his grandsons Frank, Walter, George, Alvin and Clarence Buxkemper and Edwin Moeller. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Sts. Peter and Paul society of which he had been a member for many years.

E. Buxkemper
Miss Elizabeth Buxkemper, a lifetime resident of Colorado County, died in the Columbus Hospital Sunday. Born in the Brushy community April 24, 1892, she was the daughter of Anton and Frances Dungen Buxkemper. She attended the Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Edward Geiser officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery at Frelsburg. Rosary was recited Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home.
Miss Buxkemper is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ben Moeller of Rowena, Texas, and 2 brothers, Ed Buxkemper of Slaton, Texas and Ben Buxkemper of Columbus.
Pallbearers were Monroe Buxkemper, Clarence Buxkemper, Frankie Buxkemper, Joe Skutca, Ronnie Felty and Raymond Dungen.

Funeral services, were held for Mrs. Ben (Millie) Buxkemper Sunday, March 13 from. Sts. Peter 'and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg under the, direction of Henneke Funeral Home with Msgr. Werner Bockholt officiating.
Burial was at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg.
Mrs. Ben (Millie) Buxkemper was born March 8, 1894 in Brushy Community to Henry T. Dungen and Mary Krause Dungen. She married Ben Buxkemper.
She was a housewife and a Catholic. Mrs. Buxkemper was also a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Buxkemper, May, 1975.
Survivor include her sisters, Irene Tietschert of Shaws Bend, Elsie Schwenke of Yoakum, Mary Marek of' New Ulm and Mabel Krenek of Columbus;'brothers, Henry and Joe Dungen both of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Randall Amour, Lawrence Dungen, Raymond Dungen, Ben Marek, Frank Gerngross and Bennie Wilde.

Funeral services were held for Mr. Felix Joseph Buxkemper of Alleyton, Tuesday, December 31 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus with the Father Tim Kosler officiating.
Burial was held at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Columbus. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home.
Mr. Buxkemper was born March 9, 1917 in Frelsburg to Emil Buxkemper and Caroline Gully Buxkemper. He married Loreda Julie Peters November 23, 1937.
Survivors include his wife, Loreda Buxkemper of Alleyton; two daughters, Ruth Kunz of Columbus and Dianna Buxkemper of San Antonio; one son, Felix J. Buxkemper, Jr. and daughter-in-law Norma Buxkemper of Alvin; seven sisters, Irene Henneke, Elnora Brokmeyer and Viola Warschak all of Frelsburg, Sophia Leyendecker of Columbus, Cora Wostarek of Frelsburg, Isabella Wilde of Lyford and Ottilia Lesikar of Columbus; one brother, Leonard Buxkemper of Wimberly; and five grandchildren Darren and James Kunz, Rhoda, Jason and Ryan Buxkemper.
Pallbearers were Gene Brokmeyer, Darwin Brokmeyer, Wilfred Henneke, Thomas Wostarek, Kenneth Warschak, Glen Wilde, Steven Lesikar and David Schneider.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Leo W. (Frances) Buxkamper Tuesday, March 22 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home with Father James Janish officiating.
Burial was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery In Nada.
Mrs. Leo W. (Frances) Buxkamper was born March 21, 1895 in Frelsburg to Frank Janish and Frances Martinek Janish. She married Leo W. Buxkamper October 26, 1915.
She was a housewife and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada. She was also affiliated with Christian Mothers and KJZT.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo W. Buxkamper, February 21. 1980.
Survivors include a daughter, Clara Gold of Garwood; daughter-in-law, Regina Buxkamper of Columbus; sons, Vince and Edwin Buxkamper both of Columbus; sister, Annie Korenek of Nada; sister-in-law, Tillie Janish of Nada; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Mary Janish of Fayetteville; brother-in-law, Louis Schneider of Eagle Lake; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandson, Ronald Gold, David Buxkamper, Russell Buxkamper, John Buxkamper; grandson-in-law, Howard Wilkerson; and great-grandson Michael Garvel.

Buxkamper, Ida A.
Frelsburg, Jan. 17. --Miss Ida Beuxkamper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Beuxkamper, died at the home of her brother, Willie, on the 12th after only two days illness. Her remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.

June 26.--The sad news was received here Sunday morning of the death of Joe Buxkemper of Frelsburg. The deceased was in bad health for quite a while. Several months ago he left for Marlin to recover his health, but with no avail. The deceased was well known in this section. He leaves his wife and ten children, two brothers, three sisters and a host of friends to mourn his death. His remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemtery at Frelsburg, Sunday afternoon at 5 oclock. May He rest in peace.

Buxkamper
Joseph (Joe) Buxkamper, 68, passed away in Youens Memorial Hospital at Weimar at 3 a.m., Monday, September 19. Mr. Buxkamper was retired from his own business, The Buxkarnpcr Gull Service Station, which he operated from 1967 to 1981.
He was born in Lone Oak, September 19, 1916, to Leo and Frances Janish Buxkamper. He grew up in Garwood.
Joe had been a resident of Columbus for 40 years.He married Regina A. Schoellmann on September 23, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada. To this union were born two children: Margaret and John.
Joe Buxkamper was very active in the Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Columbus Noon Lions Club. In 1985 Joe was very active in the White Cane sale for the Lions. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and a veteran of World War II. Through the church and the organizations that he belonged to, his utmost thoughts were love and charity.
Surviving Joe are his wife, Regina; his daughter and son - in-law, Margaret and Ernest W. Besch of Marquette, Michigan; his son, John, of Columbus; two grandchildren, Michelle and Heath Besch of Marquette, Michigan; his mother Mrs. Frances Buxkamper of Garwood; one sister, Clara Gold of Garwood; two brothers, Vince and Edwin of Columbus.
Family rosary was recited at the Henneke Funeral Home Monday evening and a parish rosary and Knights of Columbus rosary was recited at the funeral home Tuesday evening. Services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m. Father Tim Kosler was the celebrant, assisting were Father James Janish, Father Ed Schoellmann M. M, Msgr. Victor Schmidtzinsky, Father Ray Widaski, Father Edward Geiser and Father Werner Buckholt.
Pallbearers were his nephews: Russell Buxkamper, Ronnie Gold, Thomas Pasteris, Lee Allen Schollmann, Edward Wied, and James Henneke, proxy for his brother, Robert J. Henneke. Honor Guards were the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Internment was at St. Mary's Catholic Church cemetery in Nada under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home of Columbus.

Buxkamper
Funeral service were held for Paul H. Buxkamper, Saturday, August 24 at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Ellinger, with Father Ben officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus.
Mr. Paul H Buxkamper was born March 4, 1896 in Frelsburg to Joseph Buxkamper and Ottilia Schuche Buxkamper.
Mr. Buxkamper was retired farmer. He married Victoria Dungen Buxkamper November 18, 1919. Mrs. Buxkamper died April 25, 1982.
Burial was held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and* American Legion in La Grange. Mr. Buxkamper served in WW I.
Survivors include two daughters, Ernestine Fritsch of Ellinger and Verena Daugherty of Dallas; one son, W. J. Buxkamper of Nashville Tenn.; one sister, Emma Bauer of Columbus; two brothers, Peter Buxkamper of Sweet-. home and Hugo Buxkamper of Weimar; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Barry Buxkamper, Paul Knippel, Fred Patek, Dwight Daugherty, David Daugherty, and Dutch Daugherty.

BUXKAMPER
Vince "Jimmie" Buxkamper, 83 of Columbus, passed away May 19 at Colorado-Fayette Medical Center in Weimar.
He was born in Brushy Community, May 20, 1919 to Leo and Frances (Janish) Buxkamper and married Idell Neuendorff Jan. 20, 1953. He was self-employed as a general soil and gravel hauler for 44 years, was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #2971 of Columbus and the KJT and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Joe and Edwin Buxkamper.
He is survived by his wife; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Leland Moeller of Columbus; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Buxkamper of Katy and Russell Buxkamper of Columbus; sister, Clara Gold of Garwood; grandchildren, Marcia Miksch and husband Anson, Amanda Moeller, Adam Buxkamper and Sarah Buxkamper; and great-grandson Caleb Miksch.
Funeral services were conducted May 22 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Kahlich and Fr. James Janish officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Gold, John Buxkamper, Larry Burris, Robert H. Henneke, Jerome Emmel and Carlos Froebel.
Honorary pallbearers were Anson Miksch, Adam Buxkamper and Randy Neuendorff
