Coy Garrett, 90, of Paint Rock died at 12:50 PM Wednesday in Baptist Memorial Geriatric Center .  

Services will be at 11:30 AM Saturday in the First Baptist Church in Paint Rock with the Rev. Chester Sylvester, associate pastor at Lake View Baptist Church, and the Rev. Bill Swindler, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Paint Rock, officiating.  Burial will be in Paint Rock Cemetery , directed by Johnson's Funeral Home.  

He was born July 27, 1897 , in Merkel.  He was a retired farmer and rancher and had resided in Paint Rock since 1919.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paint Rock and was married to Annie Mikeska Feb. 5, 1925, in Paint Rock.  

He is survived by his wife, Annie of Paint Rock; one son, Coy Edwin Garrett, Jr., of Arlington; two daughters, Mary Lou Hopkins of Grand Prairie, Coylene Weaver of Arlington; four grandchildren, Shana Lynn Garrett, Dee Ann Hopkins Williams, Ronald G. Hopkins and Fred Kenneth Burke, Jr.: one great granddaughter, Guinevere Burke; three sisters, Elizabeth Trigg, Pearl Mikeska, both of San Angelo, Jewel Durden of Fort Worth and several nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers will be Felix Matthieson, Rupert Beach, Charles Dankworth, L. T. Balkum, Ben Sims, Jim Neal and B. J. Mikeska.
