M.B. Brown
The grave of MB (Mithero Berzanes) Brown. He was enroute from his home in Almagordo NM to his daughter's home in Paducah, Tx. From stories that have been passed down, he either froze to death or was robbed, the family was notified of his demise after the fact. MB was born in April 21, 1840 in probably Warren Co. TN to Isaac Brown and Mary Mooney. The family later immigrated to Texas Co. Missouri. MB wound up in Collin Co. TX in 1872, marrying Mary Jane Cooper daughter of George Robert Cooper of Collin and Grayson Co. TX. They had a total of eight children, living in Collin, Jones Co (where Mary Jane died) Collinsworth Co., then into New Mexico. He died on Oct 8, 1910. (my thanks to Cornelia Pim for the photo)
