This picture was taken at the Memorial Ceremony for
Julia Adams Bass, dedicating the gravestone that was erected that day by the
grandchildren and one great grandchild of hers in June 2005. The children of
Bess Adams Morton, Stewart Adams, Bill Adams, and Mamie Adams Rachuig were
there. The great grandson of Emma Gean Adams Merritt was also in attendance.
This was read at her ceremony: ~ DEAR ANCESTORS ~ Your tombstone stands among the rest, neglected and

verse was found the day after I had discovered and visited my great
grandmother's unmarked grave, whose location had been unknown for some 100+

years ago on Dec. 18, 1887, Louisa Myers and P. W. Adams were married at the
home of Mr. Adams' sister, the late Mrs. Henry Greer, by Rev. Roberts. Their
entire married life has been spent in the vicinity of Chilton where Mr. Adams
is a well-known farmer. To this union were born the following children: Mrs.
Jessie Adams Urquhart, T. Jeff Adams, Stewart Adams, Mrs. Bess Adams Morton
of Lott, Dewey Adams, Bill Adams, Boyd Adams, Floyie Adams, Mrs. Mamie Adams
Rachuig of Sugarland and Miss Louise Adams, (deceased). The following are
grandchildren: Mrs. Bonnie Bess Morton Lemons of Lott, George Thomas Adams,
