It is believed John Weldon Pearson & Jesse Asbury are the people most responsible for putting this list together. Although, severely injured in a farm accident, for years John Pearson played a big part in the upkeep and improvements to the Power's Chapel & Cemetery and he was well known for being the area's local historian.  John had a lot of family and historical files that he collected over the years and these were deposited with the Rosebud Library.

John Pearson got this info from a letter written by Jesse Asbury b 1843, and d 1918, who lived in the Powers Chapel area. This letter was dated September 14, 1913. At this time, there is no proof that this info is correct, so please only use it as a guide until you can prove it’s contents.
