Abraham Harvey entered a plea of guilty to theft of a hog and was given three
years in the penitentiary. The case against Nancy Shankle, was dismissed
partly to the crime was dismissed.
The case against W. W. Holloway, charge with murder
was continued.
The Jeff McFarland murder case was set down for this
afternoon and the Will Johnson case, also for murder for to-morrow.
The case against Dudly Hunt charged with alleged
violation of election laws was passed.
J. A. Martin, Jr., was elected special judge by a
meeting of the bar members on Saturday, Judge Scott being in Waco.
An application for bond in the case of Albert Jordan
charged with forgery was heard before special Judge Martin and the bond fixed
at $300.00.
The divorce case of Thos. Parks vs Rosa Parks was also
heard, the court granting the decree dissolving the bonds of matrimony as
prayed for.
John Wertzkowski, charged with disposing of mortgaged
property was acquitted by a jury Monday.
Daniel McLoud was given two years in the penitentiary
on a charge of burglary.
