CRISWELL REUNION
ATTENDED BY 137
For the Criswell reunion
held at Mackenzie State Park during the past weekend, there were 137
registrants, coming from as far away as California. Distance record
holders were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Newlan from National City, Calif.
The oldest person present was 74-year-old
Mrs. H. A. Cook, Abilene.
Elected officers of the reunion organization
for the coming year were J. W. Criswell, Crosbyton, president; Miss Gertrude
Schoolcraft, 1904 9th st., secretary-treasurer; and Mrs. Otto Crabb, Eastland,
devotional chairman.
Sunday's program included a devotional
exercise conducted at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Alford Criswell, Abilene, and sermon
by the Rev. Glenn O'Neal, also of Abilene. The 1954 reunion was set for
Lubbock next Aug. 13-15.
