I am a
descendant of probably most of the Hudson's in Clover Hill Cemetery.
A Hudson Heritage Book was written up in 1979 for our family. Many of my early descendants -- John Hudson
and wife Martha and John Hudson and second wife Willie are buried here.
John Hudson was
my great grandfather...his son Walter was my mother's dad. My great
Grandpa John Hudson had 16 children by his two wives. He lived in Georgia
and Alabama before he settled in Texas. Hubert Hudson was my Great Uncle
and he died 12-20-1978 according to my Hudson Heritage book. Also Sibyl
Hudson was Hubert's wife and I checked the Texas Index records online
and she died on August 1, 1991.
This is a photo of my Uncle Floyd who was my
mothers brother and this other couple is Uncle Hubert Hudson and Aunt Sibyl at
a family reunion--not sure of the date but it is sometime in the 1960's or
early 70's. My mother did not date it.
Una Hudson (1906-1930) buried
there. She is in my Hudson book and she was the wife of Ottis Hudson and he
remarried after she died and he moved on to Brenham, TX.
It made me sad when I saw the
Hudson twins with no names or dates but they are also in my Hudson Heritage
Book: twin boys and they died when they were 6 days old and were the sons of
Una and Otis. There is not a date when they died but I suspect that it could be
why Una died so young in 1930.
Annie M. Duke was a Hudson. She was
my great Aunt Ann. She was a marvelous lady and she was close to my Granddad
Walter Hudson who is buried in the Robinson Cemetery. I never knew Aunt Ann's
husband as he died in 1939.
This is my Granddad Walter Hudson and my
Aunt Annie Duke. I am not sure of the date but that is really an old car
sitting there. My mother did not date this one either. Hindsight comes too
late.
