Two charges, alleging statutory offenses, have been filed in justice court against Jesse Barham, a young white man, who has been employed in a local barber shop.  The defendant has no relatives in Marlin, it is stated.
Barham was arrested Friday afternoon on a complaint filed by F. R. Bolen.  In an immediate hearing in justice court he waived examining trial and was granted bond in the sum of $400 to await the action of the grand jury.  He secured his released (sic) shortly afterwards but was again placed under arrest Friday night on a second charge.
