Marlin.--The Marlin Baptist Church came upto (sic) its regular expected standard Sunday.  All of the services were well attended both numerically and spiritually.  The Women's Convention, Auxiliary to Good Hope District Association of which Mrs. R. A. Reed is president, is holding the fort this week, with inspiring sermons and interesting porgrams (sic).  In the interesting contest of quartets, Marlin Baptist was the winner.  Mrs. Coffee will stage "Heaven Bound" in Palestine soon.  The Clover Leaf Club met with Mrs. White on Wednesday.  Little Junior Jackson has been ill for a few days.  Cecil Moore was in town last week end, visiting relatives and friends.  Mrs. Willie Lee Sparks left for Belton Sunday after a visit with her grandmother.  Mrs. White and daughter left for their home in NIxon on Sunday.  Mr. Hines went to Austin and San Antonio Sunday.--Harry Nelson, Reporter.
