MORRIS SCHOOL
Morris School was
located in Falls County, and built on property donated by the Morris family. This
school was also known as "Long Branch" school, because of a creek
branch that ran through the property. At some point it joined with the Shields
and Beulah schools to become part of the Hoolia School District #9. Morris
School consisted of grades 1 through 7. The school served students in the area
until sometime after the Bruceville-Eddy rural consolidated school district was
formed, after which the students, who had formerly attended Morris School,
began attending the Bruceville-Eddy consolidated school in nearby Eddy. Today
there is nothing left to indicate where the school once stood.

may miss otherwise.
