MARLIN

       Marlin.--The ladies of the David Chapel Church entertained the men with a leap year party; a large crowd attended and everyone had a wonderful evening.  Three car loads left Marlin Friday evening to attend the birthday dinner party at Belton given by Mrs. Wright for her husband, Prof. Wright.  Services were well attended Sunday at St. Paul A. M. E. Church.  Rev. Coffee preached a wonderful sermon.  Monday night, Rev. Coffee and family were surprised with another pound party.  Miss Essie Lee Brooks is to participate in the pageant given at Waco Wednesday.--Harry Nelson, Reporter.
