MARLIN SCHOOL NOTES.
(BY THE SCHOOL.)
Thursday, June 2, has been set apart as the day on which the regular
school work of the pupils of the public schools will be on exhibition. The
exhibit will consist of papers saved either from the regular written tests or
examination, or from the daily recitation work of the child. All papers will be
graded and have errors marked. In drawing the teacher will display the whole
drawing book of the child some page from the drawing book, or a picture on one
of the practice sheets. For some of the geography papers, maps or other
constructive work may be substituted. A part of the language work may be
compositions, while the history display may consist of note books, maps, etc.
Teachers and pupils are anxious that parents and friends show their interest by
seeing the exhibit. They purpose, if possible, to bring home and school into
closer relation, with the hope of securing a higher standard of education and a
more determined effort to reach it.
