SHOTWELL FAMILY PHOTOS
WILLIS PINCKNEY & ALICE ADAMS SHOTWELL,
ROBERT LEE & VISTULA SCOTT SHOTWELL
AND THEIR DESCENDANTS
Willis Pinckney Shotwell was born on February 20, 1860 in Flatonia, Fayette Co., Texas, the son of Marion W. and Terissa Mathews Shotwell. On January 21, 1879 in Bell Co., Texas, he married Alice Mae Adams, born August 3, 1861, the daughter of Jesse L. and Julia Rogers Adams. W. P. Shotwell died on September 15, 1924 in a Temple, Bell Co., Texas hospital. He was buried in Cego Cemetery. Alice Mae Shotwell died on August 19, 1933 in Houston, where she had been living since the death of her husband. She was buried in Cego Cemetery, alongside her husband. W. P. & Alice Mae Shotwell had four children:
Leslie B.Shotwell (1897-1936), J. B. Shotwell (1899-1934), W. M. "Boss" Shotwell (?-?), and daughter, Callie Shotwell (?-1951).
Robert Lee Shotwell was born on September 21, 1865, the son of Marion W. and Terissa Mathews Shotwell. On September 3, 1894, he married Vistula Scott, born 1876, the daughter of Emory Wesley & Sarah "Sally" Pace Scott. Robert Lee Shotwell died September 29, 1919, at his home in Cego, Falls Co., Texas. He was buried in Cego Cemetery. Vistual Scott Shotwell died in 1967, in Eddy, McLennan Co., Texas. She is buried in Cego Cemetery, alongside her husband. Robert Lee & Vistula Shotwell had eight children:
Cullen Shotwell, Pete Shotwell, Garvin Shotwell, Robert Lee Shotwell, Jr., Ima Shotwell, Ura Shotwell, Averil Shotwell, Bernice Shotwell.
