PEYTON JAMES BRYAN

Peyton James Bryan, b September 25, 1867 in Sumter County, Alabama, d October 31,1937, and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Falls County, Texas-was a son of Brinson Murrill and Frances Lou ("Fannie" Hearn) Bryan. On May 19, 1895, Peyton James married Ella Victoria Binnicker, b November 11, 1876 in Riesel, McLennan County, Texas, d September 12, 1963 in Marlin, Texas, and buried by her husband in Calvary Cemetery - the youngest daughter of eleven children of John Daniel and Caroline Elizabeth (Ziegler) Binnicker.

Peyton James and Ella Victoria lived in the Riesel, Texas area for six years, moving to Falls County in 1903. They had nine children:

E. J. Bryan, b May 28, 1896 in Riesel, d October 15, 1918 in Angers, France while serving as a Sergeant in Company F. 3rd Infantry, during World War I. His name is on the World War I monument at Marlin High School. He was not married.

Leonora Elizabeth Bryan, b November 13, 1897 in Riesel - married March 30, 1926 in Falls County, Texas to Aaron Joseph Peters, b September 12, 1898 in Marlin, Texas, d May 6, 1968 in Temple, Bell County, Texas, where they had moved in 1930. They had two children: Millard Aaron Peters, b May 28, 1928 in Waco, Texas, d July 3, 1971 in Temple; and Elizabeth Ann (Peters) Peavey, b December 20, 1929 in Waco, Texas.

John H. Bryan, b October 17,1901 in Riesel, d September 25, 1969 in Houston, Texas - married in July 1930 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Ruth Wallace Cochran, and had Jon Howard Bryan, b November 11, 1935 in Houston.

Cordie Victoria Bryan, b January 18,1904 in Marlin, Texas - married George Ottis Howard.

Lillie Mae Frances Bryan ("Lil"), b February 12, 1906 in Marlin Texas - married Roy Alexander Mc- Call.

Myree Evelyn Bryan, b January 15, 1908 in Marlin - married Andrew Carver Turner.

Mina Ruth Bryan, b July 1, 1910 - married Shelton Smith Gafford.

Austin Daniel Bryan, b October 10, 1912 in Marlin, Texas - married Lydia Beatrice Adelheid Denke.

Roy Allen Bryan b August 23, 1916 in Rosebud, Texas - married Margaret Louise Miller on May 21, 1938 in Huntsville, Texas, had no issue; married second in 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Vivian Gerida, and had one child, Carol Ann Bryan, b October 7, 1943 in Hawaii; married third on July 9, 1952 to Mrs. Patricia (Simmons) Griffith, of Waco, Texas, who had a son, Lloyd Bruce Griffith, b December 18, 1948 in Waco. Roy Allen and Patricia (Simmons) Bryan had two issue; Peyton Allen Bryan, b March 20, 1962, and Niki Lee Bryan, b May 20, 1963, in Grand Prairie, Texas.
