JAMES E. COHN, SR.

James E. Cohn Sr., b March 21, 1902 in Falls County, Texas - was a son of William M. and Louisa Jane ("Lula" Reed) Cohn. On June 30, 1928 in Falls County, he married Martha Williams, b July 4, 1905 at Eden, in West Texas - a daughter of Anderson Mannon Williams of Mississippi, b ca 1875 there, and his wife, Dicey Aileen (Casey) Williams, b ca 1875 - a daughter of Rufus Casey, b June 22, 1837, d July 12, 1916 and wife, Nancy (Brown) Casey, b March 2,1849, d February 12, 1928 and both buried at Taylor's Chapel cemetery in Falls County, Texas.

James E. (called "Jim") and Martha Cohn have lived in Falls County all their married lives, rearing a family of four children. They continue to reside in Marlin, Texas.

The four children of James E. and Martha (Williams) Cohn were:

Doreatha Aileen Cohn, b April 22, 1929 - married L. A. Tull, b December 25, 1923 - a son of James Lloyd and Ada Elizabeth (Hicks) Tull of Chilton, Texas.

Shirley Ruth Cohn, b January 31, 1931- married December 25, 1947 to Sam Tull, b December 13, 1927 - a son of James Lloyd and Ada Elizabeth (Hicks) Tull of Chilton, Texas.

James E. Cohn, Jr., b August 17, 1935 - married Frances Gray, and had Dennis James Cohn who married Kathy Mier; Barry Allen Cohn who married Deborah Harlan - a daughter of George Lawson and Rosalys (Pulak) Harlan of Falls County, Texas; and Janet Cohn who was killed in a car wreck on October 18, 1977.

Nelda Cohn, b September 2, 1939 - married Danny James and had Jeffrey Lee James, Sherri Lynn James, and Randall Wade James, and moved to Houston, Texas.
