William Theodore Currie, b February 5, 1885 at Durango, Falls County, Texas, d August 5, 1954 while overseeing his farm at Durango and buried in Carolina Cemetery-was a son of David Mitchell Currie and his first wife, Ira A. lone (White) Currie, and both buried in Carolina Cemetery.

William Theodore Currie (called "Will") attended Austin College at Sherman, Texas, and was a farmer and rancher all his adult life. He was married ca 1920 to Jennie Hester, b January 27, 1883 at Floresville, Texas, d March 31, 1937 in Marlin, Texas and buried
in Carolina Cemetery near Durango - a daughter of James J. Hester of Georgia, and his wife, Lina (Henry) Hester of Arkansas.

Will served as an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church at Lott, where he lived, while maintaining his farm at Durango. He was active in all church, school,     and public affairs of the community.

Will and Jennie Currie had one son:
Jack Currie, b May 9, 1921 - a graduate of Lott
High School. Jack enlisted in the Army Air Corps, training as a Pilot, during World War II - spending twenty-two years in the service and retiring with the rank of Major. He earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Texas A&M University, and has resided in Bryan, Texas, since his retirement. On March 29, 1942, Jack was married to Ruth Jones, b February 8, 1922 at Lott, Falls County, Texas - a daughter of Vardie and Edith (Mercer) Jones, and they had two children: Ruth Ann Currie, b July 8, 1944 in Lott, who married Ronald Burr Blatchley of Bryan and had Kimberley Blatchley, who married John Thornton and has John Scott Thornton and Kimberly Thornton; and Don Jones Currie, b March 30, 1946 - who married Deborah Schatte of College Station. They have Matthew Thomas and Elizabeth Gwyn Currie. Don is a Major in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Carswell Base in Fort Worth; and the third child of Jack and Ruth is Brian David Currie, b. December 3, 1952.
