William Fuller, b. 1828 in South Carolina, d. May 6, 1892 in Temple, Bell County, Texas-was the seventh of twelve children of Ramon and Sarah (Boyd) Fuller of South Carolina. William's father was a large planter who moved to Mississippi in 1835, where Ramon Fuller died on November 27, 1844. Mrs. Sarah (Boyd) Fuller died March 22, 1859 in Texas. They were members of the Baptist Church.

William Fuller was educated in Mississippi. In 1849, he moved to Rusk County, Texas, arriving December 24th with his mother and family-the trip requiring five weeks. In 1853 he moved to Leon County, and the relocated in 1856 in Limestone County, Texas.

In 1861, William Fuller enlisted in Company K, 12th Cavalry of the Confederate States Army during the Civil War-serving in the Red River area, and in Alabama. After the war, he soon moved to Marlin, Falls County, Texas, where he engaged in the merchandising business, and subsequently, he moved to Durango.

On September 28, 1869, William Fuller married in Falls County, Texas to Jennette C. Capps ("Nettie"), b. ca 1846, d. in Bell County, Texas-a daughter of Judge Francis W. Capps-pioneer of Texas who died in 1865, and his wife, Mary America (maiden name unknown) Capps, who d. in 1877.

In March 1881, William and Nettie Fuller moved to Temple, where he was one of the earliest merchants there. He took the first receipts for cotton shipped by rail and laid the cornerstone in the building on Avenue D and Twelfth Street in Temple, where he lived until his death. He was a real estate operator, and assisted in the organization of the water works in Temple.

William and Nettie's children were:

Infant Fuller, b. & d. 1871 and buried in Calvary Cemetery.

William V. Filler, b. October 5, 1872 in Marlin, d. November 4, 1873, and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas.

Frank A. Fuller, b. March 29, 1874 in Marlin-no further information.

John Ramon Fuller, b. January 15, 1876-no further information.

Juanita A. Fuller, b. September 12, 1885 in Temple, Bell County, Texas-no further information.

William and Jennette (Capps) Fuller were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church-South, as were her parents.
