Floyd Patrick Specht, Jr., b June 10, 1916 at Vashti, Clay County, Texas ‑ was married June 8, 1941 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas to Alyce Fae Steele, b March 13, 1914 at Stranger, Falls County, Texas‑a daughter of William John and Tempa Ophelia (Watson) Steele, Sr.

The Spechts have two children:

Joe Weldon Specht, b February 8, 1945 in Marlin, Texas ‑ married December 30, 1972 in Danville, California to Mary Alice Wilson, b April 3, 1948 in Caracas, Venezuela, South America. They have one daughter, Mary Helen Specht, b February 3, 1979 in Abilene, Texas.

Melody Margaret Specht, b November 3, 1948 in Longview, Gregg County, Texas ‑married April 11, 1970 in Denton, Texas to Roeland Elvin Kelly, b June 2, 1948 in Denton. They have one son, Roeland Patrick Kelly, b August 17, 1978 in Denton.
