Robert Paine Stallworth, b ca 1833 in Conecuh
County, Alabama, died in Falls County, Texas ‑ a son of Nicholas and
Martha Ann (Travis) Stallworth, 11was married ca 1853 to Mary Moseley (called
"Polly"), b ca 1834 in Alabama, died in Falls County, Texas ‑ a
daughter of Mason Lang Moseley, b 1815 in South Carolina, d 1854 in Alabama,
and his wife, Martha (Jay) Moseley, b 1815 in Virginia, d after 1871 in Falls
County. Martha (Jay) Moseley married second in 1856 in Alabama to John Williamson,
b 1814 in Virginia, d after 1871 in Falls County, Texas ‑ a nephew of
Churchill Jones.
Robert and Polly were prominent members of the
Evergreen Community of Alabama, but after the Civil War, they moved to Falls
County, Texas ‑ traveling with the family of his brother, Major Nicholas
Stallworth, III, in 1866.
Robert Paine and Mary (Moseley) Stallworth were the
parents of five children by 1871:
Nicholas Stallworth, b 1854 in Alabama ‑
married December 12, 1882 to Miss N. C. Wherry. He taught school at Tomlinson
Hill, and one of his identified children was a son, John Dillard Stallworth,
who was living in Dallas, Texas in the 1950's. No further information.
Martha Stallworth, b 1859 in Alabama. No further
information.
Mary Stallworth, b 1861 in Alabama. No further
information.
Emma Stallworth, b 1864 in Alabama. No further
information.
Annie Stallworth, b 1867 in Falls County, Texas. No
further information.
Robert Paine Stallworth was a farmer and rancher in
West Falls County, Texas. No further information.
