Obituary [Maude Lou Ella (Rogers) Barganier [1879-1962]
Mrs. Barganier, 82 Lott, Dies In Rest Home
Mrs. A. Barganier of Lott, age 82, died in a Marlin convalescent
home at 4:20 p.m. Friday, August 10th. She had been a patient at
the home for more than two years and suffered a paralysis stroke
in January and another recently.
Funeral arrangements at Adams Funeral Home include services in
the chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. H. B. Streater officiating
and burial in Clover Hill Cemetery at Lott. She was a member of
the First Presbyterian Church at Lott.
She was formerly Miss Maude Lou Ella Rogers, born at Marlin on
December 5, 1879, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers. She
married Alonzo Barganier at Marlin in 1903 and they resided in
this area a while but mostly in the Lott area where Mr. Barganier
was a landowner and engaged in farming and livestock raising. His
death occurred on January 29, 1951.
Surviving are one son, James S. Barganier of Lott three
daughters, Mrs. R. M. Craig of Navasota, Mrs. D.K. Foster of
Killeen and Mrs. Alton Chapman of Amarillo; also seven
grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A sister and brother
preceded her in death. Miss Maggie Rogers died on November 28,
1958, and John E. Rogers died in February 1962.
Pallbearers will be Hillary Barganier, J. D. Norris Jr., R. W.
Hailey, C. J. Sudduth, Connally Gwyn and Jack Horne.
Honary pallbearers will be C. E. Barganier and E. E. Rogers Sr.
