Marlin--- Loyd Barton, 71, died at 6:50 p.m. Thursday in a Sugarland hospital. Mr. Barton was born at Marlin, March 31, 1878, and lived in the vicinity of Marlin where he was engaged in livestock raising until July of 1948, when he moved to Sugarland. Funeral services will be held here at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Adams Funeral Home with Rev. W.O. Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Surviving are his widow; two sons, L. B. Barton of Freeport and Elma J. Barton of Sugarland; two brothers, James B. Barton of Marlin and Jay Barton of Houston; four grandchildren.
