ITASCA - Mrs. George R. Chalmers, 87, mother of a Marlin man, died here this morning.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Itasca Funeral Home in charge of services.
Mrs. Chalmers was born July 16, 1899 in Red Oak and had lived in the Itasca area for the past 80 years.
Mrs. Chalmers is survived by two sons, Travis Chalmers of Marlin and Darrell Chalmers of El Paso; four daughters, Mrs. Lois Girault and Mrs. Margaret Sweeney, both of Itasca, Mrs. Pauline Mitchel of Fort Worth and Mrs. Johnnie Lee Maret of Garland; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A son died in 1938.
