Alonzo Happerwood, a well known negro residing in the botton
south of Marlin, died Monday afternoon as the result of
concussion of the brain produced by a fall from a horse.
Alonzo mounted his horse Sunday to ride to a funeral. In some way
he lost his balance and fell backward, striking the ground on his
head, inflicting the injury that caused his death.
