Viola Lauderdale

June 29, 1907 — October 31, 2001



     GUN BARREL CITY, Texas — Services for Viola Lauderdale, 94, of Gun Barrel City are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin. Dr. David Myers will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Mrs. Lauderdale died Wednesday.

     She was born in Pottawatomie County, Okla. She was a resident of Gun Barrel City since 1994 and was formerly of Marlin. She worked at the Model Laundry for many years and was a charter member of first Assembly of God Church in Marlin.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Bedford L. Lauderdale.

     Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Mary Lauderdale of Marlin; two daughters and a son-in-law, Juanita McDaniel Woodfill of Bryan and Dorothy and Charles Guttery of Gun Barrel City; two sisters, Laura McCoy of Waco and Faye Wichkoski of Cypress, Texas; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

     Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Marlin.
