Eddy, April 4--- Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from the Eddy Baptist church with Rev. Mr. Wheelis officiating for C. T. Meriacle, 78, who died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his son, Rufe, after several weeks' illness.

Interment was at Eddy cemetery.

Surviving is one brother, Perry Meriacle, Chilton; one daughter, Mrs. S. A. Harrell; five sons, Turner, Rufe, Criss, all of Eddy, Jeff of San Antonio and Elmer of Port Arthur. Mr. Meriacle had been a resident of Eddy and member of the Baptist church there for 38 years.

Pallbearers were: Joe Summers, Lonza Teaff, Travis Dubois, T. L. Page, Floy Moore, J. R. Laughlin.

Wilkerson and Hatch, Waco, had charge of funeral arrangements.
