Marlin Resident Dies After
Extended Illness
Funeral Services to be Held
at Church With Burial in Criswell Cemetery.
Mrs. Emma Virginia Moore, wife of James Moore, died at
her home on Williams street in Marlin at eight o’clock Thursday morning after
an illness of over four months’ duration.
Born September 7, 1885, near Marlin, deceased was a
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Jolly and had resided in Marlin and vicinity
all of her life. She was a member of the Baptist church and was
affiliated with Marlin Rebekah lodge No. 385.
Surviving are her husband, two children, Hirschell and
Miss Beulah May Criswell of Marlin; also four sisters, Mesdames Ona Posey,
Riesel; Zona Grimshaw, Elida, N. M.; Verdie Moncrief, Marlin; and Beulah Lewis,
Houston; and three brothers, W. R. Jolly, Verdigree, Okla.; Rev. J. O. Jolly,
Freeport; and Carmen Jolly, Dallas.
Services were announced for two o’clock Friday afternoon
with last rites at the First Baptist church of Marlin in charge of Rev. S. D.
Dollahite, pastor, assisted by Rev. I. H. Willingham, with burial in Criswell
cemetery.

Last Rites Conducted at
Church With Burial in Criswell Cemetery.
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Virginia Moore, who
died at her home in Marlin Thursday, were held at two p.m. Friday.
Last rites were conducted at the First Baptist church
of Marlin by Rev. S. D. Dollahite, the pastor, assisted by Rev. I. H.
Willingham, of Marlin, Falls county Baptist missionary.
Burial was in the Criswell cemetery.
