A PIONEER PASSES AWAY

Sunday morning at 8:15 Judge J. R. McDonald passed to the realms beyond, after an illness of two days, of paralysis.
The venerable lawyer was stricken Friday morning with paralysis and gradually grw worse until the end came.
On Friday afternoon he was moved from his law office, where he slept for many years, to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Keigwin, where he had been boarding for two months prior to his death.  It was here that death came, surrounded by friends of many years.
The remains were interred in the city cemetery Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, service being conducted at the grave by Rev. J. R. Montgomery of the Presbyterian church, of which deceased was a member.
The funeral services wre attended by the members of the bar in a body.
But little could be learned of the history of deceased in time for this issue of the paper.
