Graveside ervices (sic) for Betty Jo Neal, age 73, of Marlin, were held Wednesday, June 2, 1999 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating.  Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Betty Jo Neal, born August 13, 1925 in Kossie (sic), was the daughter of Samuel Clifton and Bessie Lee Smith Ward.

She was a homemaker and member of the First Christian Church, Marlin.

Survivors include 3 daughters:  Patricia Luna and husband Paul, Jr., Huntsville; Mary Jo Hazelwood and husband Linzy, Corsicana; Carol Steele and husband George, Joshua; 2 sisters: Shirley Mullinix, Hearne; Billie June Kramer, Rosebud; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Gilliam Neal.

The family requests memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

Adams Funeral Home of Marlin was entrusted with the arrangements.
