EVA MAE (BOOTS) NEWTON

       Mrs. Eva Mae (Boots) Newton, 53, of Hillsboro and formerly of Marlin died Sunday in a Hillsboro hospital.
       Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edens Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Robert D. Griffin officiating.  The body was cremated.
       Mrs. Newton was born Jan. 1, 1936, at Fort Morgan, Colo.  She grew up in Boulder, Colo. where on April 19, 1958, she was married to Thomas G. Newton Jr.  Mr. Newton is a registered nurse.  Several years ago, the couple lived in Marlin for a period of time.  She was a member of the Loveview Baptist Church at Hillsboro.
       Survivors are her husband; three sons, Thomas G. Newton III of Hillsboro and Robert R. Newton and Randall M. Newton, both of Hope, Ark; three brothers, Charles Johnston of Denver, Rufus A. Johnston of Russellville, Ark., and Albert Johnston of Fort Collins, Colo; two sisters, Lurraine Hahn of Owensboro, Ky., and Claudia Harbour of Columbus, Ohio; and two grandsons.
