Lonnie Reeves Sr.
Lonnie
Reeves, Sr., who was reared in Marlin and bought his first guitar at age 12,
passed away July 5, 2007 in Medford, Oregon.
Reeves
played backup for several recording artists, including Pasty Montana and Freddy
Heart. His band, The North Westerners, played for rest homes, VA hospitals and
at churches. He was also a World War II veteran.
Reeves
was preceded in death by: father Fred Reeves; mother Ruby Reeves; and sister Ruby
Mae Crawson.
He
is survived by: son Lonnie Reeves Jr. of Bellmead; sister Alma Herwald of
Marlin; number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.
