Eugenia Roming

Eugenia Ida Lee Roming, 88, of Eddy, died Sunday, July 29, at a Temple nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Wayne Stork officiating.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

She was born in Falls County to Robert and Ida (Ricketts) Shieldes. She graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School in 1936 and married Reggie Roming on Nov. 23, 1936. She worked for Sears for more than 20 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors are two sons, Larry Roming and Doug Roming, both of Eddy; one daughter, Regina Psencik of Seaton; one brother, Edward Shieldes of McKinney; and one sister, Zara Urban of Keene.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
