ROSALIE ROPPOLO
January 30, 1925 - April 23, 2006
Josephine Rosalie Roppolo, age 81
of Marlin, entered into rest on Sunday, April 23, 2006. Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph' s Catholic Church
in Marlin with Rev. Christopher Ferrer, Rev. Msgr. Ignatius Roppolo, Rev. Msgr.
Henry Engelbrecht, Rev. Leonard Leddy and Deacon Julian Tyboroski as
celebrants.
Burial will follow in the Hillcrest
Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Home
Chapel with visitation before and after.
Mrs. Roppolo was born on January
30, 1925 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Charles and Nancy Stillone Roppolo. She
was a homemaker, a life long resident of the Highbank, Marlin area and a
faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was active in the
PCCW. She loved cooking for her family, taking care of those folks who were
less fortunate than her and was an accomplished translator.
Her parents, her husband, Nick James
Roppolo in 1992 and a brother, Jimmie Roppolo in 1969, preceded Mrs. Roppolo in
death.
Survivors include sons, Jimmy N.
Roppolo and wife Sandie of El Campo, Charles Roppolo and wife Beverly of
Spring, Anthony Roppolo and wife Pam of Marlin; brother, Rev. Msgr. Ignatius
Roppolo of New Orleans, LA; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Falsone,
Jason Roppolo, Matt Roppolo, Paul Randazzo, John Roppolo and Nick Roppolo.
Adams Funeral Home in Marlin was in
charge of arrangements.
