Ruby Ilene Hillyard Shivers

May 5, 1913 - May 19, 2006

Ruby was the daughter of Hugh and Lillie Hillyard. On Jan. 17, 1932, she married Ross Shivers. She was a seamstress for many years and a member of the First Baptist Church. She taught first and second grade Sunday School and was a member of Betty Norwood Sunday School Class.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband on Dec. 1, 1964; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include sons, Gary Shivers and wife, Quata, of Bethany, Okla., Ross Shivers and wife, Laura, of Grapeland, Ed Shivers and wife, Lana, of Waxahachie, and Millard Shivers and wife, Lynn, of Arlington; daughters, Carol Moore and husband, Donald, of Mexia and Glenda Hiebe,r of Robinson; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-granchildren.
