Roy B. Smith
January 12, 1911 — March 21, 2000

MARLIN, Texas — Graveside services for Roy B. Smith, 89, of Marlin are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at. Calvary Cemetery in Marlin. The Rev. Jimmy Phillips will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin. Mr. Smith died Tuesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Care Center.

He was born in Marlin, was retired from the Sherwin-Williams Company where he was store manager for 21 years, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a charter member of the First Christian Church of Marlin, where he also served as an Elder.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Smith.

He is survived by a son, Roy Langford “Lang” Smith of Bryan; a grandson; and two nieces.
