Mr. Jack Denson Taylor, Sr. was born November 27, 1911 to Mr. Ernest and Nancy Taylor.  He was the oldest of four children.  He spent most of his time in Highbank, Texas.  Mr. Taylor united with the Zion Rock Baptist Church at a young age and was a faithful member.

        In 1935 he met and married Lydia Laster and to this union eight children were born.

        He is survived by his wife, Lydie, (Lillie) and eight children:  Ernest E., Jack D. Jr., Gussie Faye, Edna, Elijah, and Elma Ray Taylor, all of Dallas, Texas.  Luedell Taylor of Los Angeles, CA, Willie Pearl Vanderbilt, Washington D.C.; two brothers, Mr. Major Lee, Hawthorne, Nevada,  Theodis Taylor, Los Angeles, CA., and one sister, Mrs. Berdelle Rogers, Berkley, CA., nine grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
