Henry Clay Vann II
Henry Clay Vann II, 74, of Marlin, passed away
Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at a Temple hospital. Graveside services and
interment were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, with
Rev. Jimmy Phillips officiating, with military honors.
Henry was born January 16, 1929 in Marlin to William
E. and Mildred Pinson Vann. He was self-employed as a farmer and was a
life long resident of Marlin and Falls County. He was a veteran of the
Korean war serving in the U. S. Navy and a long time member of First Christian
Church in Marlin where he served as a deacon and an elder. He was
preceded in death by a grandson, Lynn Fife.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Vann of Marlin;
daughters Cathy Fife of Mart and Carol Stone of Marlin; son Clay Reese Vann of
Marlin; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons of First Christian
Church in Marlin. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of
Marlin, c/o Adams Funeral Home, 129 Coleman, Marlin, TX 76661.
