Mildred Serena (White) Lanier
January 15, 1906 - March 14, 2007

Mildred Serena White Lanier, 101, of Lake Jackson, formerly of Rosebud, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in a Lake Jackson nursing center Services were held Saturday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud with Dr. Carl Jennings officiating.

Private burial was held in Powers Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Lanier was born January 15, 1906 in Rosebud to Rev. W. B. and Erie Griffen White. She attended school at Briary, Rosebud and Mary Hardin-Baylor. She married Ira Allen Lanier on Sept. 8, 1925. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church in Rosebud.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Ima Blair, and two granddaughters, Lesley Lanier Kettler and Sandra Blair Brackman.

Survivors include three sons, Dan Lanier of Richwood, Bill Lanier of Lake Jackson, and Carroll Lanier of Brenham; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
