Peggy Lou (Herring) McEniry
April 26th, 1933 ~ September 20th, 2008
Peggy Lou McEniry was born in Lott, Texas
on the 26th of April 1933.
The family had been living in
Wichita Kansas and when the birth was drawing near her father, Robert Worley
Herring, loaded her mother, Peggy Taylor (maiden name), into a car and drove
down to Texas so that his first-born would be born a Texan.
Peggy Lou was raised in Kansas and
upon graduation went to work for Boeing.
She met and married Kearney Givens
Robinson. Kearney was transferred to Seattle.
They had three children; Debi Lynn,
Kearney Woodson and Erik Lee. Peggy Lou received motherly recognition earning a
"Mother of the Year" award. Sadly, Kearney suffered a fatal heart
attack at the age of 48.
Peggy later met and eventually
married James Michael McEniry and brought his two children, Scott Michael and
Katherine Dale, into her home. Peggy and Michael enjoyed 35 years of happiness
together.
She loved to garden, caring for her
family and friends even taking in strays (both animals and people). She was
very artistic, creating gifts and art for her home. Peggy Lou passed away
Saturday evening with her children and husband by her side.
