Theodore Fink

A German immigrant, Lieutenant Fink enlisted in the 8th Infantry in 1841 and worked his way up from the ranks.  While sergeant major of the regiment in 1848, he was commissioned second lieutenant and by 1859, when he commanded Fort Davis, he was a first lieutenant.  Promoted to captain in 1860, he died in 1861.
