My father Genero RODRIQUEZ was supposedly born at Fort Davis, Davis Texas on or about 10/1890. I have always been told that the records were burned when the Fort burned. If anyone can give information regarding records for that period of time, I would be very grateful.

Watts-- looking for information on Austin Raymond Watts family. His parents were William Luther (Hoopie) Watts & Livie Anne Bickle. Hoopie's mother was Lucindi Grubbs, married to some Watts or other. Sure would like to know his name! He disappered in the Davis Mountains. She later married a Manning. Hoopie had an older sister, Nora, she married Myler Estep. They had several step-siblings named Manning. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

BOWLES, DICKSON, ROBERTS & STOUTSENBERGER: I'm looking for any information on my ancestors who lived in the Fort Davis area about 1880- 1900. My gggrandparents were named Morgan Price and Nancy ROBERTS, who were from Illinois. They raised Angoras on a ranch there, where my great uncle, Henry DICKSON, worked as a ranch hand. The ROBERTS family had at least three children: Sam (who was busted for stealing cattle), Frank, and my gggrandfather, George Washington ROBERTS. About 1888, Geo. Wash. married Frances Adelina STOUTSENBERGER (nee BOWLES), and they had nine children. Sam married Emma BRAGG in Presidio Co. in 1881. In about 1895 my ggrandparents moved to the Guadalupe Mountains. Happy to share what I have on these families. Write to me at my e-mail address or at 2220 Marshall Way, Sacramento, CA 95818-3546. Join the BOWLES researchers list---ask me how!

Looking to share valuable information with other descendants of the following West Texas area residents. This couple met in West Texas, married and lived a short while in Chihuahua, Mexico, and finally made their home in Van Horn, TX (having at least seven children total). Santiago ABREO or ABREU (b~1880) and Anita Skaggs WHITE or BLANCO (b~1890). Don't hesitate to contact me, cousin. Even if you don't see the exact first name above, it's genuinely possible that I have something you need and you have something I need. Good luck with your research
