Raleigh was sometimes called "Rolly" or "Roll". He was the son of Charnell Hightower and Elon Watts. He married Aletha Jane Thompson Dec 18, 1850 in Chickasaw Co., MS. Jane's father gave them a pair of mules and a wagon to start their life on the frontier. They had nine children. Raleigh was buried in his Confederate Army uniform. Aletha Jane is also buried at Frost Cemetery. | | | Burial:
