War Veteran Dies
CORSICANA, Texas, Feb. 11. - Abe Mickey McBroom, 28, World War II veteran, died in the Veterans Hospital, Lisbon, near Dallas, Monday night. Funeral services were held here Wednesday, with interment in the Hamilton Cemetery, A military services was conducted at the grave. Surviving are his wife and a daughter, Onita McBroom, Laird Hill; parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. McBroom; two brothers, Tom and Dan McBroom, and sisters, Mrs. Robert Nelson, Mrs. Robert G. Iker, all of Corsicana. Another sister, Mrs. Virgil B. Nokes, lives in Alaska.

Rites for Mrs. D. K. McCammon, 82, native of Navarro County and longtime resident of Corsicana, who died here Friday will be held at the home of her niece, Mrs. A. B. Douglas, Corsicana, Saturday at 10 a.m. with burial there. She was the wife of the late D. K. McCammon, pioneer gin operator and well-known citizen of Navarro County.
The services will be conducted by the Rev. T. Edgar Neal, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Corsicana, of which Mrs. McCammon was a long-time member.
Surviving are a son, J. M. McCammon, Dallas; two grandsons, a brother, the Rev. Bruce Meadows, Methodist minister, and other relatives.

Funeral services were here Wednesday afternoon with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

CORSICANA, Texas, March 6. - Funeral services for S. B. McDaniel, 56, vice-president and general manager of the Fortson Wholesale Grocery Company here, and well-known throughout this part of the state, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the home of Mrs. Alice Long in Ector.
McDaniel died of a heart attack early Friday, while en route home from Williamsburg, Va.
Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Mrs. E. H. Dockery and Miss Hattie McDaniel, all of Corsicana.

CORSICANA, Texas. - Rites for Mrs. Ida Jane McGehee, 88, longtime Erueka community resident, who died in Dallas Tuesday, were held Wednesday from the Eureka Methodist church. Burial was in the Longbotham Cemetery.
A native of Alabama, Mrs. McGehee had resided in Texas seventy years-half of that time in Eureka.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. W. R. Shields of Corsicana, and Carrie McGehee of Vernon; a son, David McGehee of Dallas; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, E. H. James W. McGill, 60, Corsicana Native Dies
CORSICANA, Texas, Feb. 4. - James William McGill, 60, native of Corsicana and prominent in business, social, church and fraternal circles for many years, died at his home Monday morning.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, from the family home, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. McGill was connected with the Woods & Kerr abstract Company for several years and later with the Magnolia Petroleum Company eighteen years. He was connected with the Texas Company several years prior to his retirement from active business. He was prominent in fraternal circles and was a member of the I. O. O. F. and Masonic Lodges.
Surviving are his wife; one son, William Lawrence McGill, director of Student Publication, Inc., University of Texas, Austin, Texas, and a brother, H. H. McGill, Kansas City.

Mrs. Roma Darling McGlothlin, 5535 Stonegate Road, formerly of Corsicana, died Friday at the Medical Arts Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Third Avenue Presbyterian Church of Corsicana. Burial will be at Corsicana.
A native of Kansas, Mrs. McGlothlin was the wife of the late William Claude McGlothlin. Born March 17, 1898, she moved to Shawnee, Okla., with her parents at 14, attended public schools there and was graduated from Central State College at Edmond, Okla. Until 1945, when she moved to Dallas, Mrs. McGlothlin was a resident of Corsicana. She was a member of the Corsicana Woman's Club and the Third Avenue Presbyterian Church,
there.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William W. Hamilton and Mrs. Walter J. Hillabrant of Dallas; a son, Lt. William C. McGlothlin; four grandchildren, mother, Mrs. H. W. Darling, Dallas; a sister, Mrs. G. T.
Buckingham.
Pallbearers will be Dwight J. Edson, T. C. Cash, Ralph Stell, Roy Love, J. N. Garrity, J. T. McGlothlin Jr., W. B. Hamilton and Earl Smalling.

Mrs. Annie McHenry, Corsicana Pioneer, Dies
CORSICANA, Texas, Nov. 19. - Annie McHenry, 93, pioneer resident of Corsicana, died at her home here Wednesday and funeral services were held from the Church of the Immaculate Conception Thursday by the Rev. Father Murphy of Ennis.
Mrs. McHenry was a native of Ireland, but with her late husband, J. F. McHenry, came to Corsicana more than sixty years ago and conducted the first grocery store and restaurant in Corsicana. The McHenrys also donated the ground for the Catholic Cemetery in the western portion of Corsicana.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jewel Johnson of Corsicana; two granddaughters, Mrs. Mae Weider of Louisiana and Mrs. Tom Senter of Tennessee; a grandson, Joe Myrick of California, and a great-grandson, Tom Senter, Tennessee.

CORSICANA, Texas, Oct. 31. - Services were held for W. T. McKee, 73, early-day garage owner and operator, who died following several years' illness.
McKee was a partner in the Drane & McKee firm and was a tractor dealer when ill-health caused his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. George Weinschel, both of Corsicana; a brother, J. H. McKee, Bellefontaine, Miss., and two sisters, Mrs. H. L. Henson, Fort Worth, and Mrs. Warren Morgan, Kirven.

CORSICANA, Texas, March 26. - Mrs. Kate Stiteler McKie, about 80, widow of the late W. J. McKie, wealthy attorney and oilman, died at her home here Thursday night after a short illness. The funeral will be held from the First Baptist Church here Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. McKie had resided here practically all of her life. She was active in Baptist circles and was a liberal contributor to various Baptist institutions. Baylor University of Waco has been the recipient of numerous generous sums.
Surviving are two sons, F. B. and Ben W. McKie, and a daughter, Miss Blanche McKie, all of Corsicana.

Finial Honors Paid To Mrs. Kate S. McKie Large delegation from Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco and other near-by points joined with hundreds of Corsicana residents to pay their final respects to Mrs. Kate Stiteler McKie, 79, religious worker, benefactor of many Baptist institutions and philanthropist, at funeral services held here Friday afternoon.
The funeral services were conducted by Dr. Jeff Ray of Fort Worth and the Rev. E. T. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Corsicana.
President Pat M. Neff of Baylor University headed the visiting groups.
Mrs. McKie died early Thursday night after a shot illness. She is survived by two sons, and a daughter, all of Corsicana. She had been a resident of Corsicana more than sixty years and lived in the family residence more than fifty years.

Oil Pump Station Man Found Dead on Lease
CORSICANA, Texas, June 25. - The body of Thomas Jefferson McKinley, 58, pump station operator on an oil lease east of Corsicana, was found Wednesday on the lease. He apparently died Tuesday night of natural causes. J. W. Sheppard, justice of the peace, said in a coroner's report. Funeral rites are planned for 10 a.m. Thursday. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Perry Fauber, Corsicana; Mrs. Mae Brown, Kingfisher, Okla., and Mrs. Bess Roth, Los Angeles, Calif.

T. J. McKinley Rites Thursday
Funeral services for Thomas Jefferson McKinley, 58, who died of a heart
attack on an oil lease east of Corsicana, Tuesday night were held at 10 a.m.
Thursday from the Corley Chapel.
The rites were conducted by Rev. Herbert G. Dudley, minister of the First
Christian church. Burial was in the Hamilton Cemetery.
A coroner's verdict of death from natural causes was returned Wednesday
morning by Judge J. W. Sheppard, justice of the peace, following an inquest.
An investigation was made by Judge Sheppard and Sheriff Rufus Pevehouse. The
coroner said McKinley apparently had b een dead 15 hours when his body was
found Wednesday.
The lease is located near Highway 31 bridge on Chambers creek east of

McKINNEY - Corsicana, Texas. Oct. 18. - A. D. McKinney, 58, was stricken with a heart attack Monday while sitting in the lobby of the Y.M.C.A. and died in a few minutes. He lived at the Y. Before moving to Corsicana some years ago McKinney was in the banking business at Kerens. Surviving are one son, A. D. McKinney Jr. of Corsicana; two sisters and one brother.

Automobile Crash Kills Woman Near Corsicana
CORSICANA, Texas, May 10. - Mrs. Vera McKissack, 33, of Corsicana, died in a hospital Sunday of injuries received an hour earlier in an automobile accident one mile south of Rice. Her death was the fourth automobile fatality in Navarro County for 1936. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at Streetman. Other occupants of the car escaped serious injuries. The car is reported to have struck a soft shoulder on the highway and turned over.
Surviving are her husband, Gilbert McKissack, of Corsicana, and her mother, Mrs. J. A. Thompson of Streetman.

Mrs. McLemore, 36, Dies at Oak Cliff Home
Mrs. J. E. McLemore, 36, active worker in the Calvary Baptist Church and a resident of Dallas six years, died Monday at her home, 1111 Turner, following a brief illness. She was the wife of J. E. McLemore, Oak Cliff grocer.
She came to Dallas from Corsicana, where she was born and reared. Until recently she was active in social and civic clubs of Oak Cliff and in the Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; a son, J. E. McLemore Jr., Dallas; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lowery, and two brothers, Henry Lowery and
Scott Lowery, all of Corsicana.
Funeral services and burial will be in Corsicana at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

McLemore- Corsicana, Texas, Jan. 27. - Mrs. Sue P. McLemore, aged 76 years, died tonight at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Woodard, at Blooming Grove. Mrs. McLemore had been making her home there for the last year, prior to which she had lived at Sulphur Springs. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Woodard, and three sons, John D. Williams of Sulphur Springs, James McLemore of Van Alstyne and Luther McLemore of Silver City, N. M. The body will be shipped to Sulphur Springs for burial, which will be on Saturday.

CORSICANA, Texas - Nov 27. - Dr. T. P. McLendon Of Corsicana Dies Dr. T. P. McLendon, 44, physician here and president of the P. & S. Hospital board, former president of the local country club and Rotary Club, World War veteran, civic leader and sportsman, died in a local hospital Sunday afternoon. He was taken ill Saturday.

Bob McMullen Dies in Navarro County
CORSICANA, Texas, Nov. 13. - Funeral services for Captain R. M. (Bob) McMullen, 81 years old, Confederate veteran and pioneer resident of Navarro County, who died at his home in the Chatfield community Friday, were held Saturday with burial in the Chatfield Cemetery.
Squire McMullen, as friends called him, was born in Georgia and came to Navarro County in 1876, settling in the Chatfield community. He was one of the leading figures in Methodism in this section of the country. He had been a steward in the Methodist Church for more than a half century.
Two sons and five daughters survive, M. J. McMullen of Corsicana, Carl McMullen of Chatfield, Mrs. Gordon Elkins of Richland, Mrs. William Tharp of Chatfield, Mrs. Bertha Hoffman of Corsicana, Mrs. Will Wright of Corsicana and Mrs. Mary Holsey of Chatfield.

McNUTT - Corsicana, Texas. Jan. 26 - Mrs. Sallie F. McNutt, a former resident here and a sister of Mrs. R. P. Goodman, Mrs. Ellen Mills and Aaron Ferguson, died at Terrell Sunday.
The body was brought to Corsicana for burial, the funeral taking place from the residence of Mrs. R. P. Goodman Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock.

Girl Dies After Being Struck by Gravel Truck
CORSICANA, Texas, April 30 (Sp). - Mozelle McPhail, 8, daughter of Mrs. Audrie McPhail, died in the Navarro County Hospital at 2:55 o'clock Saturday afternoon as the result of internal injuries received when she was struck by a gravel truck shortly before noon.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the First Methodist Church, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Dr. F. P. Culver, pastor of the church, will conduct the services.

CORSICANA, Texas, Sept. 12. - Frank E. McPherson, 55, prominent druggist here for years, died early Sunday with a heart attack. Rites will be held here Monday, with burial at Cleburne. Surviving are his wife and two sons, Corsicana; three brothers, C. E. McPherson, Joshua; Judge O. B. McPherson, Cleburne; W. A. McPherson, Crosbyton; four sisters, Mrs. Ben L. McGee, Fort Worth; Mrs. T. B. Toler, Mrs. Mollie Officer and Mrs. Connie Lawrence, all of California.

He had resided in Corsicana and Navarro County for forty-five years. Surviving are his wife of Corsicana, four children, Charles C. McQuiston, Corsicana; Mrs. Ellen Minatra, San Angelo; Mrs. Gertrude Little and Mrs. Ethel Evans, both of Corsicana, and a brother, W. H. McQuiston, Monticello, Ark.

home in Blooming Grove. Mr. McSpadden, a native of Tennessee, was a well-known farmer. He is survived by his wife and eleven children.

SHERMAN, Texas, March 8. - Bruce D. Meador, 39, bakery salesman, died Saturday night. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Travis Street Methodist Church.
Meador was born at Cryer Creek, Navarro County, and was a World War veteran. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Patricia Ann Meador; one son, B. D. Meador Jr.; one brother and one sister.

Funeral services for Claude Henry Meador, 55, killed by an automobile Friday on Holmes Street Road, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bible Baptist Church, 2554 Ann Arbor.
Meador lived at 4426 Aztec. Surviving are his wife; four sons, James R. Meador, Charles H. Meador and Robert Meador, Dallas; Frank L. Meador, Fort Worth; three daughters, Mrs. E. A. Walters, Mrs. C. L. Harwell and Miss Millie N. Meador, Dallas, and four grandchildren.
Burial will be in Emhouse, Navarro County.

Funeral services for Miss Matt Meador, 83, native of Navarro County, who died at a local hospital Monday, were held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Marietta Scott, Tuesday afternoon. Miss Meador was born at Dresden June 11, 1853. She had made her home here with her sister for forty years. Surviving are her sister, two nieces and two nephews.

MEDARIS - Corsicana, Texas. Jan. 20. - Mrs. Isabelle Esther Medaris, 78, wife of the late W. L. Medaris, died at Montfort Friday morning. Funeral services will be held at the Chatfield Methodist Church Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in the Chatfield Cemetery. Born in Smith County, Mississippi, at the age of 8 she came to Texas with her parents in an ox wagon. The trip to Texas necessitated six weeks. The family settled near Steward's Mill, Freestone County. A few years later they moved to Navarro County at Tupelo for a year, the family moved to Rice for nineteen years before moving to Montfort in 1909. Surviving are two sons, W. R. Medaris, Dallas, and W. E. Medaris, Montfort; three daughters, Mrs. D. D. Wylie, Montfort; Mrs. D. A. Boyles, Corsicana, and Mrs. R. J. Graves, Waxahachie; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two brothers, E. A. Speed, Corsicana, and F. W. Speed, Ensign, Ellis County.

Mrs. Medford Dies at Her Home After Long Illness
Mrs. Susan Ella Medford, 77, a resident of Dallas for the last twenty-seven years, died Sunday at her home, 2202 Melbourne, after a long illness.
Born in Navarro County, she came to Dallas in 1925 and became interested in work in the Church of Christ. She and her husband, James E. Medford, helped establish the Colonial Church of Christ, Hampton Road Church of Christ, Bailey Heights Church of Christ and the Hatcher Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Medford had been a member of the Church of Christ for sixty-four years.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p. m. Monday at the Saner Avenue Church of Christ, 325 West Saner, with Ministers H. C. McCaghren and Fred Brambey officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
She is survived by her husband; four sons, M. R. Medford, M. E. Medford and J. D. Medford, all of Dallas, and S. C. Medford of Irving; two daughters, Mrs. Lydia Stewart of Corsicana, and Mrs. Clarissa Bell Medford of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be H. P. Terry, W. H. Hunt, John Acord, W. B. Hughes, Raymond Cothran and Bob Norman.

Corsicana Youth Dies From Auto Accident
Corsicana, Texas. March 26. - George Megartiy, 17 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Megarity, died in a local hospital this afternoon from injuries received when an automobile in which he was riding was struck by a freight train Wednesday night. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Lee Hugh, the other occupant of the automobile is also in the hospital in a very serious condition.

H. S. Melear, Veteran Corsicana Judge, Dies
CORSICANA, Texas, Jan. 7. - H. S. Melear, 77, for almost twenty-three years recorder of the Corporation Court of the City of Corsicana, died of a heart attack while reading a newspaper in police headquarters in the city hall Tuesday morning.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Harold S. Melear of Longview, and a brother, Robert H. Melear of Trinidad.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Third Avenue Presbyterian Church with the Rev. M. E. McPhaill, pastor, conducting the rites. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Melear, merchant of Trinidad, who died in a Dallas sanitarium early Monday morning, following a month's illness, will be held at Kerens Tuesday with burial in the cemetery there. Mr. Melear, who was 59 years old, is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Vera Fetteke of Alva, Ok.; three brothers, C. K. Melear, Waco; Judge H. S. Melear, Corsicana, and R. H. Melear, Lufkin, and three sisters, Mrs. W. Z. Anthony, Galveston; Mrs. J. E. Leggett and Mrs. Sallie Berry of Weilington, Texas.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Charles Howard Melton of Eufafa, Okla.; Elijah Melton Jr. of Dallas; Thomas Earl Melton and Larry Duane Melton, both of Emhouse; two daughters, Mrs. Essie Fangman of Dallas and Mrs. Frank Armstrong of Corsicana and seven grandchildren.

CORSICANA, Texas - Final rites for Mrs. Emily Jane Merideth, 97 a resident of Venus, Johnson County, were held from the Venus Methodist Church Thursday, with burial in the Venus Cemetery. She died in a Corsicana hospital Tuesday.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Merideth of Alvarado and George Merideth of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Lena Barker of Frost and Mrs. Connie Cooper of Mart; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
