Entered service, 1942, training with the Navy at Texas University, Great Lakes, Ill., Harriman, N.Y., Camp LeJeune, N.C., Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Calif. Now on duty in the Pacific.
PUTMAN, CHESTER Pfc. Chester Putman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Artie Putman, entered service in 1942, training in the Infantry of the Army at Shepard Field. Served in the Aleutian Islands, France and Germany. Wears battle stars. Now on duty at Normandy, France.
PUTMAN, Y. M. S.K. 3/C Y. M. Putman, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Putman, Blooming Grove, is a graduate of Blooming Grove High School. Entered the Navy in 1943 and is now on duty in Saipan. Notes: Obituary

QUINN, THOMAS E. Sgt. Thomas E. Quinn, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Page, attended school at Corsicana. Wife is the former Vivian Inman. Entered the Army Air Forces in 1942, training at Shepard Field and Chanute Field. Now on duty at Pyote Army Air Field. Has Good Conduct Medal and 19th Group Citation.
QUINN, EDDIE F. T/Sgt. Eddie F. Quinn, son of Mrs. J. D. Quinn, attended Long Prairie School. Wife is the former Joette Holland. Entered the Air Corps in 1940, training at Barksdale Field and in South Carolina. Served in Puerto Rico, South America, and Guadalcanal. Now on duty at Jefferson Barracks, Mo.
QUINN, ELVIN C. Pvt. Elvin C. Quinn, son of Mrs. J. D. Quinn, attended Long Prairie School. Wife is the former Velma Simpson. Entered the Army in 1944, training at Camp Wolters and Ft. Meade. Now on duty on Luzon. Notes: Elvin Claud Quinn

McClellan, Ala. volunteered for Paratroopers, trained at Ft. Benning, Ga. Engaged in 3 Battles in ETO, now on duty in Australia in Army of Operations. Awarded TEO Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars, Co. 3rd Bn. 502 Paratrooper Inf.
RAGAN, BILLY H. Pvt. Billy H. Ragan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Ragan, Barry, graduate of Barry High School. Attended A. & M. College. Entered service, 1944, trained with Air Corps at Radio Mechanic at Lubbock, Amarillo, Madison, Wisconsin and Scott Field, Ill. Now on duty training at Wichita Falls, Texas, prior to overseas service.
RAGAN, JAY B. Pfc. Jay B. Ragan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ragan, Chatfield, attended Montford, Texas Schools. Entered Army, 1944, trained with Army at Camp Fannin. RAGAN, TROY W. Pvt. Troy W. Ragan, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ragan, Barry. Entered service, 1942, trained with 35th Infantry at Camp Roberts. Served in Hawaiian Islands, Guadalcanal, Russell Islands, New Caledonia, Medical Discharge, 1943. Has infantry Combat Badge.
RAGAN, ELIJAH D. S/Sgt. Elijah D. Ragan, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ragan, Barry, graduate of Bryon High School. Entered service 1941, trained with 70th TEFTS at Ellington Field and in Amarillo. Now stationed in Amarillo.
RAGAN, REO M. Pfc. Reo M. Ragan, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Ragan, Barry, graduate of Corsicana High School. Entered service, 1943, trained with 1110th M.P. Co. at Miami Beach, and Augusta, Ga. Has served in Scotland, England, France, Belgium, and Germany, now on duty in South Dakota. Has two Meritorious Achievement Medals. RAGAN, DEXTER G. Sgt. Dexter G. Ragan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ragan, Chatfield. Entered service, 1944, trained with Army at Camp Fannin. Has served in England, France, Belgium and Germany, wounded in Germany, 1945. Given Medical Discharge, has Purple Heart.
RAGLAND, MORRIS G. Pfc. Morris G. Ragland, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ragland, Kerens, graduated from Kerens High School. Entered Air Corps Sept. 11, 1945, trained at Poyote, AAF, Texas, and Panama Field, where transferred to Infantry, received Inf. Training at Camp Livingston, La. Now enroute to Pacific.
RAGLAND, ROBERT H. Sgt. Robert H. Ragland, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ragland, Kerens, husband of the former Miss Dora Ward, graduate of Kerens High School. Entered Air Corps Nov. 27, 194?, trained at Barksdale, La, Puerto, Rico, and Panama, transferred to Lincoln, Neb. for further training. Has been in Pacific on Marianas for last 3 months.
